South Indian Style Chicken Biriyani


Biriyani is one of the most common and famous food for the people living in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Malaysia. Even peoples living in Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore are also  fond of Biriyani. Specially when it comes to Chicken, it'll attract almost all peoples. 

In my blog, I had previously uploaded a Chicken Biriyani in Classical & Traditional Bangladeshi style which is famous greatly in India, Pakistan & Bangladesh. This is another type which is South Indian Style in which they have added some few more spices to bring some difference in the regular Chicken Biriyani. Let's have a look on their style of cooking Chicken Biriyani..,... 

Ingredients:     

=> 4 tbsp of Ghee
=> 3 nos of Bay leaves
=> 2 pcs of Cinnamon sticks
=> 4 pvs of Cardamom
=> 3 pcs of Cloves
=> 5-6 pcs of Star Anise
=> 3 pcs of Onions (Chopped)
=> 2 tsp of Salt
=> 3 tbsp of Ginger-Garlic Paste
=> 1 kg of Chicken
=> 2 tbsp of Biriyani Powder
=> 1 tbsp of Red Chili Powder
=> 1tsp of Turmeric Powder
=> 1 tbsp of Hot Spices Powder
=> 1/2 tbsp of Cumin Powder
=> 1/2 tbsp of Coriander Powder
=> 8-10 pcs of Bird Eye Green Chili
=> 1/4 cup of Water
=> 3 pcs of Tomatoes (cut into 1/4 pcs)
=> 130 g of Curd
=> 1/4 cup of Coriander / Mint Leaves
=> 1 kg of Rice (cooked)
=> 1/4 cup of Roasted Cashew Nuts
=> 1/2 cup of Milk (added with a few drops of Yellow Color)

Preparation:

= Melt ghee in a pot.

= Add Bay Leaves, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves and Star Anise together. Then add Onions and cook for a while.

= Add Salt, Ginger-Garlic Paste and mix them with a stir. 

= Add the Chickens, all the spices and Green Chili. Mix all together. 

= Add water, tomatoes and curd. Mix all the ingredients porperly. Cover with alid and let it cook for 15 mins. 

= Then sprinkle some Coriander / Mind leaves. Mow add Cooked Rice, spread it nicely. 

= Sprinkle some more chopped Coriander Leaves, Cashew Nuts, some Fried Onions, Milk (you also can add orange color) and cover with a lid. Let it cook for another 15 mins. in a low flame. 

= After that gently fold yhe rice. Transfer the Biriyani to a serving dish or pot. 

= Serve hot with your favorite side dish.
