Chhola Batura is a most poular cuisine from South India. Specially in Tamil Nadu. This cuisine is Perfect for those peoples who like to have some spice in their snacks and also in their Breakfasts. Nowadays this cuisine has become most popular in Bangladesh also. You can try this if you want to see what actually it is.
Ingredients:
=> 1 tbsp of Semolina (সুজি)
=> 1.5 cups of Flour
=> Salt to taste
=> 1 tbsp of Sugar
=> 0.5 tsp of Baking Soda
=> 1 tbsp of Sour Yogurt
=> Water as required
=> 1 cup of Chhola (Chickpea) (Peeled)
=> 1 cup of Tomatoes
=> 1 cup of Onions (chopped)
=> 0.5 tsp of Turmeric Powder
=> 1 tsp of Red Chili Powder
=> 1 tsp of Hot Spices Powder
=> 0.5 tsp of Cumin
=> 2 nos of Bay Leaves
=> 2 tbsp of Tamarind (তেঁতুল)
=> 1 tbsp of Ginger Paste
=> 1 tsp of Garlic Paste
Preparation:
=> In the flour, add Semolina, Salt, Sugar, Baking Soda, Yogurt and required amount of water and mix well. Apply some oil and keep it for several hours.
= Now take some of the mixture and roll it to a bread. Deep fry them until it become swelled.
=> In a pot, heat oil and add onion and fry until brown. Now add other spices and cook them well. Now add the Chickpeas (Chhola) and required water and cover it to let them cook.
= Add some Tamarind Water and remove from the heat. Take them into a serving dish.
= Serve hot with the Breads you fried.
