Potatoi Mugh Daal

This is a regular Bangladeshi Cuisine. Mugh daal which has been cooked with Potatoes and various items. This is one of the traditional Bengali food and served with plain rice in regular meals.

Potatoi Mugh Daal

Ingredients: 

=> 100g of Mugh Daal
=> 1 cup of Potatoes (cut into dices)
=> 3 pcs of Onions (chopped)
=> ½ cup of Garlic (chopped)
=> Salt to taste
=> 1 tbsp of Curry Powder
=> 1 tsp of Turmeric Powder
=> 1 tbsp of Olive Oil
=> Chopped Coriander for garnish.


Preparation:

= Heat oil to a frypan. Fry the potatoes until golden brown in color. Take them off.

= Now heat a pot and fry the Mugh Daals without oil for 3 mins.

=> Now heat oil, add the garlic, cook for sometime. Add the onion and fry both until brown. Now add the daal and fry for sometime.

=> Pour hot water and mix well. Let it boil for sometime. Now add the Salt, Curry Powder and mix with a ladel. Cover with a lid and cook in medium heat until the Daal becomes slight soft.

=> Open the lid and now add the fried potatoes and boil. Check the taste and add more Seasonings if needed.

=> Check if the Daal has properly cooked or not. Now take the dish in a serving dish, sprinkle with chopped coriander.

=> Serve hot with Plain Rice.
