Italian Meatball Buscuits Sliders

This Fast-Food item has been came from Italy, where you can find this cuisine in every Food-Carts and Fast-Food shops there. This is a simple cuisine can be tried with simple ingredients at your home.





Ingredients:

=> 2 cans of Grands! Buttermilk Biscuits (or Mini Buttermilk Biscuits)
=> ½ pound ground beef
=> ½ pound ground pork
=> 2 garlic cloves, minced
=> ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
=> ½ cup bread crumbs
=> 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
=> 1 egg, whisked
=> 1 - 24 ounce jar of your favorite tomato sauce
=> 9 mozzarella balls (Bocconcini size)
=> Oil for cooking meatballs
=> Arugula for serving
=> Skewers (optional)


Preparation:

=  Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a baking sheet with parchment.

=  In a bowl, mix together beef, pork, garlic cloves, parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, chopped parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Form mixture into 1” balls. (Tip! To keep mixture from sticking to your hands, spray or rub with oil periodically, meat forms easily into balls and doesn’t stick to your hands!)

=  Unroll Grands! Buttermilk Biscuits and using a round 2” cookie cutter, cut out “slider” biscuits. (save the scraps for another use).

=  Evenly space biscuits on prepared cookie sheet and bake for 5-10 minutes until golden and fluffy.

=  Slice mozzarella ball into thirds.

=  Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, swirl oil into the pan and sear meatballs in batches until golden. Return all seared meatballs to pan, pour tomato sauce over and simmer for 15-20 minutes until hot and cooked through. Top each ball with mozzarella slice and broil until melted and golden.

=  To build sliders, slice each biscuit in half, dollop a bit of sauce on the bottom layer, top with a few arugula leaves, meatballs then biscuit top.
